Digital tablets

I have been looking at some of the artwork on this website and iv always wanted be to able to draw and as I near grade 12 (last year of school) im looking for careers and the one that jumps out at me is animation and concept art but for this I need to get my drawing skills up there. So now im looking into digital tablets and different techniques of drawing in PS. I have tried my had at using the mouse to do this and well there not tooooo good imho but the point of this whole rabble is to ask which digital tablets you use and how you all go soooo gooood! >.<
